Alan Johnson
Secretary of State, Department of Health
House of Commons
London
Dear Mr Johnson
As smokers, we feel obliged to comment on your statement "the vast majority of smokers want to give up”
The vast majority of smokers want:
a) to pay less tax on cigarettes
b) to stop being discriminated against
c) the smoking ban lifted
d) politicians to concentrate on stopping crime, to cease war-mongering, to encourage business and to make Britain a proud nation once again
e) ASH to be investigated to find out why our politicians are so keen to listen to them instead of the 14 million voting smokers
Perhaps if you and your government invested your time, effort and money in bringing back freedom of choice then British people would not be leaving this country in droves.
If you have any further comments to make about smoking please feel free to contact some of the disgruntled smokers who have opinions that are not being represented in our so called democracy.
Yours sincerely
The smokers of Britain, and their tolerant non smoking friends.
