No “Heart Attack” Miracle For England….Again

Regular readers will already expect these results. The general population, however, will not.

Thanks to Michael Siegel (anti-tobacco activist) and Chris Snowdon (author of Velvet Glove Iron Fist), we are able to bring you the latest official figures on England’s heart attack admissions before the freaks at ASH, CRUK and the Department of Health attempt to spin them into yet another miracle.

Okay then:

“This graph shows the number of emergency admissions for acute myocardial infarction (heart attacks) in English hospitals from April 1998 to March 2009……

Whenever hospital data is publicly available, there is no sign of a heart miracle. Whenever the raw data is available to a select group of epidemiologists, there is a ‘dramatic’ drop in heart attacks.”

“If you want chapter and verse, I can tell you that the heart attack rate dropped by 3.84% and 3.79% before the ban, and by 3.75% and 2.61% after the ban.”

Oh dear. Wasn’t the smoking ban supposed to dramatically assist the reduction in heart attack admissions? It appears that it has had the opposite effect.
